The Guard says the aircraft is not its own, was flown by personnel associated with the Government of Coral Island and was on “an authorized training flight”, with no live fire. It does not say who authorised the flight, and will not say whether the Office of the Governor was told.
In a reply to Weazel News, the military confirms for the first time that Governor Richard Ashcombe died at Fort Zancudo at 03:47 on Saturday, and that its own personnel worked through the night alongside the clinicians treating him. It does not say who it told, or when.
Hours after taking office, the new Governor tore up the 26 September statement, revoked the “presumed abandoned” rule, cleared every first responder and dismissed Chief of Staff Harlan J. Mercer. Then she apologised, and said she is coming to Paleto Bay.
Less than an hour after Weazel News published leaked State papers, the Office of the Governor confirmed that he died at Fort Zancudo at 03:47 on Saturday, hours before the State called him “safe, well rested”. Lieutenant Governor Diane Carrow has taken the oath as the 41st Governor of San Andreas.
An internal notice and a medical log seen by Weazel News say the Governor suffered a heart attack as the quake struck and died at Fort Zancudo, hours before the State called the Governor “safe, well rested”. The death has not been confirmed.
